Mini-Quilt Class “I ?? Quilts”
Using Ten Sisters Easy Piecing Fusible Grid 
Taught by Lori Ryan of The Cotton Ball

What to Expect:
In this fun, hands-on class we’ll cover:
How to use the Easy Piecing Fusible Grid
Working with patterns
Using squares and half-square triangles
Joining grids for larger projects
Sewing the grids together
Finishing your project with confidence

By the end of class, you’ll have a mini quilt wall hanging, ready to quilt and bind.And most importantly… we will have FUN! This is a no-stress, relaxed class designed to build skills, boost confidence, and enjoy the process together.

Option: If you would like a fabric kit cut by The Cotton Ball we provide in class for an extra Fee of $49.00,(fabric kit will include pieces cut for class so you are ready to sew and includes binding fabric). Please sign up for kits when you enroll in class.

Bringing your own fabric: must bring to class cut and ready
to sew!!

Back ground: 1 & 1/2 yards
Heart: 1/4 yard
Large quilt block: darker fabric 1/8 yard
lighter fabric 1/8 yard
Small quilt block: center- 2.5” by 12”
HST star points 6” square

Letters; “I” - chubby 8th or scraps to equal 2.5” by 15”

“Quilts”: 1/3 yd
“!” - chubby 8th or scraps to equal 2.5” by 15”

Binding: 1/3 yard
Backing: 1.5 yard

Cutting instructions:

Background:
cut 16- 2.5” strips by WOF (42”)
set 4 strips aside for borders
subcut 12 strips into 190- 2.5” squares
cut 1- 6” square

Heart:
cut 2- 2.5” strips by WOF (42”)
subcut into 27- 2.5” squares

Larger quilt block:
Darker fabric- cut 1- 2.5” strip by WOF (42”)
subcut into 9- 2.5” squares
Lighter fabric- cut 1- 2.5” strip by WOF (42”)
subcut into 12- 2.5” squares

Smaller quilt block:
center- cut 1- 2.5” strip
subcut into 4- 2.5” squares
star point for HST- cut 1- 6” square

Letters:
“Quilts”- cut 4- 2.5” strips by WOF (42”)
subcut into 52- 2.5” squares
“I”- cut 5- 2.5” squares
“!”- cut 5- 2.5” squares

Please Bring to Class
*Your fabric cut and labeled - recommend placing in ziplock bags
and writing “large block, small block, quilts” etc
*Sewing machine in good working order- new needle? With 1/4” Foot
*Thread- neutral for piecing
*Marking pencil and regular pencil
*Rotary Cutter and mat-new rotary blade?
You may also want a rotating mat to easily cut HST
*Straight ruler at least 8” long (for use with your rotary cutter)
*Your sewing essentials- scissors, seam ripper, pins, clips
(definitely bring clips)
*You can bring a Small personal iron and ironing mat- we will
utilize the iron quite a bit and you may prefer your own ironing
station. A steam iron is helpful. Or a water spray bottle.
*Pressing sheet if you use one

HST trimming ruler- You will want one for ease of trimming! -
Creative Grids Folded Corner Clipper or similar.
